DEPARTMENT: PROJECT MANAGEMENT
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8am - 5 pm
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects in support of SGMC Health’s clinical, operational, and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office, this position partners with clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, Information Services, and Enterprise teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with SGMC Health’s standards, priorities, and regulatory requirements.
EDUCATION
Required to work flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of meeting project deadlines and deliverables. Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays on occasions during different phases of projects, or to meet deadlines. Require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination. Requires standing, walking, and sitting for periods of time. Requires corrected vision to acceptable range. Requires lifting, approximately 50 pounds, transporting and installing computer equipment. Must have valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, but at the manager’s discretion if there is comparable experience.
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Project+, PRINCE2, or equivalent) required, and must be obtained within six months of employment if not currently held.
- 3+ years of project management experience required.
- Experience working in a PMO preferred.
- Healthcare IT or EHR/EMR project experience preferred.
- Experience with workflow redesign or change management preferred.
- Experience with leading multi-disciplinary teams required.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication with clinicians, leaders, and technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Experience influencing without authority
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
