The Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering successful landscape construction and maintenance projects from planning through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to LandOne’s standards for quality and safety. The Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination between clients, field teams, subcontractors, and company leadership, ensuring clear communication, efficient execution, and a positive client experience.


Key Responsibilities


Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead all phases of landscape construction and maintenance projects, including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, change orders, schedules, and field reports.


Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the lifecycle of each project.
  • Provide proactive communication on progress, timelines, and potential issues.
  • Lead jobsite meetings with clients, designers, subcontractors, and field supervisors.
  • Partner with internal teams including operations, estimating, and accounting to ensure smooth project handoffs and accurate billing.


Team Leadership & Safety

  • Provide leadership and direction to project supervisors, foremen, and field crews.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork on every jobsite.
  • Ensure all projects comply with company policies, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations.


Financial & Quality Oversight

  • Monitor project budgets and proactively manage changes to protect project profitability.
  • Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and subcontractor payments.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs and inspections to ensure work meets LandOne quality standards and client expectations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing landscape construction or large-scale maintenance projects.
  • Strong understanding of landscape construction practices including irrigation systems, grading, planting, and hardscape installation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management and estimating software such as LMN, Aspire, or similar platforms.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred to effectively communicate with field teams and subcontractors.
  • Valid driver’s license required.


Travel Requirements

This position requires some travel throughout South Carolina, including project oversight in Myrtle Beach, Greenville, and surrounding markets. The Project Manager should be comfortable visiting job sites frequently to ensure project progress, quality control, and team alignment.
