Project Manager - Social Sector (NGO)
Experience: 4-5 yrs
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of mental health–focused project activities. The role involves planning, coordination, supervision, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring timely and ethical delivery of project outcomes aligned with mental health objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee the implementation of mental health project activities as per defined timelines
- Supervise the project team, including counsellors, psychologists, and field staff, and ensure effective coordination
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders such as mental health professionals, institutions, and partner organizations
- Review progress reports, field updates, and MIS related to mental health interventions
- Track project targets, outcomes, and impact indicators specific to mental health programs
- Address field-level challenges related to service delivery, beneficiary engagement, and program quality
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor the quality, ethical standards, and impact of mental health activities
- Organize review meetings and prepare project status and outcome reports
- Ensure proper documentation of case studies, success stories, best practices, and learnings while maintaining confidentiality
- Support donor reporting and contribute to presentations, reports, and communication material related to mental health projects
- Identify project risks, including ethical and operational risks, and escalate issues as required
Qualification and Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Management, Public Health, or a related field
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in implementing and managing mental health programs or projects
- Experience working with communities, institutions, or vulnerable populations in mental health settings
- Strong organizational, team coordination, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and MIS/data management tools
- Willingness to travel within and outside the project area as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per year
