Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end project management of Turbine Generator & Auxiliaries for a 800 MW Ultra Super Critical (USC) thermal power plant. The role involves planning, engineering coordination (with engineering agency, vendors etc.), Bid evaluation (with support of Engineering Agency) & Order placement (with support of SCM Team), Post order execution, Manufacturing and despatch as per plan, Logistics (from Supplier’s works to project site location), Ensuring timely processing of payments of Suppliers, Construction (supervision) and Commissioning/PG test activities (with support of relevant agencies) to ensure timely delivery as well as commissioning, budgetary control, quality compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the complete lifecycle of the TG & Auxiliaries package
Coordinate with OEMs/Suppliers, End Customer and internal teams to ensure technical compliance with contract specifications and industry standards in Pre order and Post order stage.
Monitor project progress through schedule tracking, risk management and mitigation planning.
Oversee vendor inspections, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) in coordination with Quality Team, Obtain despatch clearance from End customer and ensuring timely despatches along with logistics arrangements (along with SCM team).
Keeping records of all Despatch information, Vendor invoicing & their payments, Customer invoicing and collection of payments
Manage project specific documentation, reporting and interface control with other power plant systems (Turbine, BOP, Boiler, Electrical, I&C).
Support Erection Supervision, Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of the TG & Auxiliaries package.
