Job Description

The Project Engineer II (Operator Competency) will implement projects and assist in onsite user training as necessary. The candidate should have a very strong career interest in Process Simulation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing OTS projects with project teams for end-to-end design & delivery for Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other customers
• Manage the development of functional and concept technical design specifications
• Ensures implementation is done with respect to project standards and quality documents & final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the end user
• Identify, advise, and incorporate modifications in simulation configuration.
• Should be able to anticipate the project risk and look for mitigation plan
• Attend project reviews with Customer & Interface with project leads and customers for rasing technical queries
• Strong understanding of Refinery Process and & Critical Section. Having hands on Simulation experience in modelling Distillation columns, heat exchangers, rotating equipment, Reactors, Furnaces, Turbines etc.
• Participation in quality process reviews.
• Ensure completion of projects on schedule and within the allocated budget.
• Drive product improvement, productivity & Self skill enhancement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on reactor modeling.
• Strong knowledge of Unisim Design and HYSYS for process simulation.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and programming languages like Python.
• Experience in developing and implementing digital twin technologies in industrial applications.

• Simulation experience in either ASPEN/HYSIS/UNISIM both in Dynamic and Steady Sate simulation
• Experience in deploying Operator Training Simulator in an operating company.
