Job Purpose

To supervise and control the production of Continuous Transposed Conductors (CTC) ensuring output targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and cost efficiency are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations :

• Supervise day-to-day CTC production activities including wire preparation, transposition, insulation, compaction, and spooling
• Ensure production plans and schedules are met as per dispatch requirements
• Optimize machine utilization and manpower deployment
• Monitor process parameters to ensure consistent product quality
  
  

Quality Control

• Ensure CTC production complies with IEC / IEEE / customer specifications
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance for inspections, testing, and non-conformance resolution
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  
  

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce EHS policies, safety procedures, and good housekeeping (5S)
• Ensure safe operation of CTC machines and handling of copper/aluminum conductors
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions
  
  

Team Management

• Supervise operators, technicians, and helpers
• Train new employees on CTC processes, machines, and safety
• Evaluate performance and recommend skill development
  
  

Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance
• Ensure minimal downtime of CTC machines
• Maintain spare parts and tooling readiness
  
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain production records, shift reports, rejection data, and efficiency metrics
• Track raw material consumption and minimize wastage
• Support audits (internal, customer, ISO)
  
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of CTC manufacturing processes
• Understanding of copper/aluminum conductor properties
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Leadership and people management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / TPM / 5S (preferred)
  
  

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
  
  

Experience

• 4–10 years of experience in CTC or transformer conductor manufacturing
• Prior experience as a Supervisor or Senior Operator preferred
