OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage complete shop floor operations, including CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and RTJ gasket production. The role requires strong leadership in production planning, machine utilization, quality control, and team management to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise complete shop floor operations, including CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining, fabrication, welding activities, and RTJ (Ring Type Joint) gasket production to ensure achievement of daily, monthly, and delivery targets.
• Plan, manage, and execute monthly and daily production plans in coordination with dispatch, ensuring machine-wise production scheduling with proper CNC (Computer Numerical Control) program documentation.
• Prepare daily machine-wise production reports, review supervisors’ previous day operator production reports, and submit all production documents to management before the morning meeting.
• Conduct production planning discussions with the dispatch team and communicate prioritized production plans to supervisors with proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with API standards and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, and actively participate in API implementation activities, audits, and certification processes.
• Analyze product defects, monitor rejection rates, and prepare CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) with complete documentation for areas with low production or quality issues.
• Define, document, and implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), TQM (Total Quality Management), 5S, and JIT (Just-In-Time) programs after management approval.
• Coordinate daily with the maintenance team to ensure all machines, including CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, are fully operational and minimize downtime.
• Maintain an adequate stock of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and other machine spares in coordination with supervisors and the Maintenance Manager, with proper inventory documentation.
• Monitor raw material requirements, inventory control, and overall production documentation to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Manage, guide, and train engineers, supervisors, and shop floor workers on production planning, dispatch coordination, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programming fundamentals where required.
• Coordinate closely with quality, maintenance, purchase, and dispatch departments to ensure smooth operations and timely execution.
• Implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and workplace safety standards across the shop floor.
• Attend daily meetings with management and production teams to review performance, address bottlenecks, and align production priorities.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
• Minimum 10 Years of Experience in the Engineering/Automotive Industry.
• Strong Background in CNC Programming, Setup, and Optimization.
• Experience with Production Systems and Tools (TPM, TQM, JIT).
• Must Have Experience with SAP or Other ERP Systems.
• Excellent Knowledge of Production Planning, Machine Utilization, and Manpower Allocation.
• Ability to Train and Mentor Team on CNC and Production Best Practices.
