Production Manager 

Qualification - : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Production Engineering (CIPET or equivalent preferred), Postgraduate qualification in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering

 Experience - 12–15 years

Preferred Industry- Flexible Packaging & Converting Industry – particularly in operations involving printing, wax lamination, solvent lamination, foil lamination, and slitting.

Job Description- 

 Lead and oversee daily plant operations ensuring On-Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries.

Develop and execute production plans, shift schedules, manpower allocation, and raw material planning.

Drive operational excellence using Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Lean tools, and efficiency improvement methods.

Ensure complete operational knowledge and control of printing, wax lamination, solvent lamination, slitter machines, and related processes.

Possess in-depth understanding of aluminium foil, paper board, PET films, and other raw materials used in production.

Ensure product quality as per SOPs and customer specifications, working closely with Quality Assurance.

Collaborate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.

Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Foster team engagement, resolve grievances, and promote a safety-first culture.

Manage budgets, control costs, and meet production KPIs and strategic objectives.

 Technical Skills & Competencies - 

Strong knowledge of raw materials, machine operations, and finishing processes in flexible packaging.

 Proficiency in production planning, resource optimization, and efficiency tracking.

 Ability to drive continuous improvement and enhance machine utilization.

 Strong understanding of quality systems, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.

 Leadership & Management -

 Excellent team leadership skills – ability to lead and mentor team across shifts.

 Hands-on problem-solving approach with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

 Ability to foster a positive, disciplined, and safety-conscious work culture.

 Digital & Analytical -

 Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/MRP systems.
