Job Description

A leader in the Automotive Manufacturing sector serving OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers across India. The role sits inside high-volume/medium-mix mechanical and assembly operations and focuses on driving production delivery, quality compliance, and continuous improvement on-site.

Primary Job Title: Production Manager - Automotive Manufacturing

Role & Responsibilities

Direct end-to-end shop-floor production to achieve daily/weekly/monthly volume, cost and quality targets while owning KPI/OEE performance.
Implement and sustain Lean methods (5S, SMED, Kaizen) and TPM to reduce waste, shorten changeovers and increase equipment availability.
Lead root-cause investigations (8D/RCA) and corrective action to drive down first-pass defects and ensure IATF 16949 quality compliance.
Manage production planning, scheduling, capacity allocation and inventory control using ERP (SAP PP) to meet delivery commitments.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain) for new-model launches, process validation and cost-reduction projects.
Champion safety, SOP adherence, operator training and performance management to build a stable, scalable production environment.
