Job Description – Product Specialist (Collibra Data Governance)

Location: Pan India; Chennai too preferred.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Specialist to support the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform and drive the adoption of data governance capabilities across the organization. This role will be responsible for managing requirements, backlog, roadmap, and stakeholder engagement to ensure Collibra delivers business value across Data Governance, AI Governance, Data Quality, Business Glossary, and Metadata Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the functional expert and Product Owner for Collibra.
• Translate business requirements into product features and user stories.
• Manage and prioritize the Agile product backlog.
• Drive adoption of Data Governance, AI Governance, Data Quality, Business Glossary, and Metadata Management capabilities.
• Partner with Data Owners, Stewards, Architects, Analysts, and Development teams to deliver business value.
• Define acceptance criteria and validate delivered functionality.
• Enhance governance processes through automation and platform improvements.
• Support sprint planning, release planning, backlog refinement, and product demonstrations.
• Monitor adoption, usage, and stakeholder feedback for continuous improvement.
• Support integrations with Azure, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Snowflake, Databricks, and similar platforms.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven ability to write user stories and define clear acceptance criteria.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Collibra workflows, operating model, APIs, and integrations.
• Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent platforms.
• Understanding of GDPR and data privacy requirements.
• Experience in AI Governance and Responsible AI initiatives.
• Collibra certification is an added advantage.
