Product Owner (Technical)

We are looking for a Product Owner with strong technical intuition and working knowledge of software development to drive the delivery of our core digital platforms.

In this role, you will act as the key link between engineering teams and business leadership, ensuring that complex technical challenges are translated into clear priorities and actionable plans. You will own the product backlog, support delivery execution, and ensure alignment between technical capabilities and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Backlog Ownership and Prioritization

Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing work based on business value, technical dependencies, and delivery timelines.

Delivery Coordination

Work closely with engineering teams to remove blockers and ensure smooth delivery of features and platform improvements.

Technical Communication

Translate complex technical challenges into clear updates and explanations for non-technical stakeholders.

Feasibility and Risk Assessment

Evaluate new requirements against the current system architecture and identify potential risks related to scalability, performance, or usability.

Quality and Consistency

Ensure that backend functionality aligns with the frontend experience and that delivered features meet the intended UX and performance standards.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in Product Ownership or Product Management working closely with engineering teams
• Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, and frontend dependencies
• Hands-on exposure to programming concepts (e.g., JavaScript, Golang, Python, SQL, or similar)
• Working knowledge of software development and coding fundamentals (such as APIs, databases, backend logic, and frontend frameworks)
• Experience managing products that rely on third-party integrations and real-time data
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and resolve delivery challenges
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, system architecture, and developer discussions
• Ability to understand and discuss code, technical architecture, and developer workflows
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools such as Jira
