Job Description

About ZOCA

We are at $2.5Mn+ ARR, 1000+ beauty and wellness businesses on the platform, and a $6M Series A behind us. We are not starting out. But we are also nowhere close to where we want to be.

Zoca is building the growth infrastructure that small beauty and wellness businesses have never had access to. Online visibility, bookings, payments, customer retention, voice AI. All of it, in one place, built to work without a full-time marketing or ops team running it.

We want people who will think, challenge, ship, and own outcomes.

About Product

We have three products that work. Discovery handles online visibility: local search, SEO, AEO, website, content. Bookings and Payments gives businesses a native booking and payment flow with data visibility they have never had before. Voice AI answers calls 24/7, converts missed calls into booked appointments, and outperforms SMS by a significant margin on retention.

These products are live. They are generating revenue. And most of our 1000+ customers do not fully understand what they have. Features launch. Emails go out. Things get missed. And the communication that does happen is inconsistent. Sometimes product-led, sometimes founder-led, rarely coordinated end to end.

This role exists to fix that. We need someone who understands the product well enough to write about it accurately, and understands the customer well enough to write about it compellingly. A salon owner squeezing in a read between appointments should immediately understand what we are offering and what it does for their business.

What You Will Own

  • Product messaging and positioning. How we talk about each product in language that lands with a beauty or wellness business owner. Clear outcomes, no filler, no tech speak.
  • Launch communications. Every product launch end to end. Email, in-app, WhatsApp, social, blog. From brief to send. Coordinated, not ad hoc.
  • Customer lifecycle comms. The communication journey from onboarding to expansion. Making sure every feature we ship has a plan that drives actual activation, not just opens.
  • Content for discovery and adoption. Working with the SEO specialist and Discovery PM to produce content that surfaces Zoca in search results, educates business owners on why online visibility matters, and positions Zoca as the right answer.
  • The brand narrative. The shift from traditional search to AI-generated answers, the data visibility problem that legacy platforms created, the case for why small businesses deserve better growth infrastructure. These stories need someone to sharpen them, publish them, and make them land consistently.
  • Customer proof. Building the engine to collect, package, and distribute real customer success stories in formats that actually work across channels.

Why this role matters

Cross-sell and expansion inside our existing customer base is one of our biggest near-term revenue opportunities. Customers on Discovery who have never heard of Voice AI. Customers using Voice AI who do not know we have native Payments. Better communication fixes that directly.

The broader opportunity: the shift from traditional search to AI-generated answers is one of the more interesting marketing problems of the next few years. How do you build awareness and trust for a product that helps small businesses navigate something most of them do not yet know is happening? That is a genuinely interesting creative and strategic challenge.

What We Are Looking For

  • 1 to 3 years in product marketing, content marketing, or growth communications. SaaS or SMB-focused background preferred.
  • Product depth. You understand what the product does well enough to write about it without guessing. You ask the right questions to get there.
  • Writing first. Everything else is secondary. Your copy is crisp, specific, and useful. If you write in vague phrases or pad every sentence with qualifiers, this is not the right fit.
  • Multi-channel thinking. Email, in-app, WhatsApp, social, long-form content. You understand how these work together and how to match format to intent.
  • Accountability to outcomes. You care about activation rates and expansion revenue, not just content output.
  • Curiosity about AI and the SMB market. You will be writing about AI search, voice automation, and booking technology for business owners. You should find that interesting.

What This Is Not

This is not a brand awareness role where success is measured in reach. Every piece of content should have a job to do: drive activation, drive expansion, or drive a sign-up. If you want to build brand campaigns and measure impressions, this is not it.
