Product Manager - Healthcare

Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Product Manager to lead the end-to-end product lifecycle across our diverse healthcare portfolio — spanning medical devices, surgical consumables, incontinence care, baby & mother care, and health monitoring equipment. This role bridges R&D, manufacturing, sales, regulatory, and marketing teams to drive product innovation, market expansion, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and own the product roadmap aligned with business goals, market trends, and customer needs across all product verticals (medical devices, surgical consumables, health monitoring, baby care, incontinence care).
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis across domestic and international healthcare markets (65+ countries) to identify product gaps and opportunities.
  • Drive new product development (NPD) from ideation to commercialization, working closely with R&D and manufacturing teams.
  • Prioritize product features, line extensions, and SKU rationalization based on data-driven insights.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage end-to-end product lifecycle including launch, growth, maturity, and phase-out strategies.
  • Define product specifications, packaging requirements, and pricing strategies for both domestic distribution (810+ distributors) and export markets.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to ensure all products meet ISO, CE, BIS, and other applicable certification standards.
  • Monitor product performance through KPIs such as revenue, market share, margin, and customer feedback.

Go-to-Market & Commercial Execution

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create compelling product collateral, training materials, and technical documentation for internal teams and channel partners.
  • Support the e-commerce and D2C channel with product content, cataloging, and digital merchandising strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and hospital demonstrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure production feasibility, cost optimization, and timely delivery.
  • Liaise with clinical/medical affairs to gather user insights from surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and hospital procurement teams.
  • Coordinate with export teams to adapt products for international regulatory requirements and market preferences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, or related) or Life Sciences. MBA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • 5-10 years of product management experience in the medical devices, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of managing product portfolios and launching new products in B2B and B2C healthcare markets.
  • Strong understanding of medical device regulatory landscape (ISO 13485, CE marking, BIS, FDA basics).
  • Experience working with manufacturing/EPC teams and understanding of production processes for disposable medical devices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in market research tools, Excel, and product analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in disposable medical devices or surgical consumables is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to international markets and export-oriented product management.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon) and D2C healthcare product marketing.
  • Experience with product categories such as IV cannulas, catheters, respiratory devices, blood bags, or patient care consumables.
  • Knowledge of hospital procurement processes and tender/bidding mechanisms.
