The Role

We are looking for a Product Innovation & NPD Lead to own the product engine at LitLife, making sure our products are sharp, safe, differentiated, claim-ready and ready to scale. You will work across product strategy, formulation, R&D coordination, claims, testing, packaging, vendor management and future innovation with a vision to create never-done before, patent worthy formulations.

What you'll do

• Own the product roadmap across current and future body-area launches.
• Convert consumer problems into clear product concepts, briefs and launch priorities.
• Work with manufacturers, formulation teams, labs, packaging vendors and internal teams.
• Review formulas, actives, pH, stability, sensory feel, usage instructions and product claims.
• Challenge vendors on formulation logic, ingredient levels, testing, timelines and documentation.
• Own claim substantiation: what we can say, what we cannot say, and what needs proof.
• Track COAs, test reports, stability, batch specs, sensory feedback and product documentation.
• Partner with brand/content/growth so product truth becomes strong consumer language.
• Study competitors and category whitespace without blindly copying the market.
• Build the future innovation pipeline for more overlooked body-area care.
• Use customer reviews, complaints and feedback to build V2 improvements.

• You have worked in beauty, skincare, personal care, cosmetics, FMCG or wellness products.
• You understand NPD and can manage products from concept to launch.
• You can speak to formulation/R&D teams without getting lost in jargon.
• You understand claims, testing, stability, actives, packaging and consumer experience.
• You can balance science, brand, manufacturing reality and commercial viability.
• You are hands-on, structured and comfortable in a fast-moving startup.
• You care about building products that actually work.

• You only want to coordinate calls.
• You cannot challenge a manufacturer or formulation partner.
• You think product work ends once the PO is raised.
• You only want to do market research and trend reports.
• You need a large corporate structure to move.

• Cosmetic science, chemistry, pharmacy, biotech, formulation, product management or NPD.
• Experience in skincare, body care, haircare, personal care, derma, beauty or FMCG.
• Prior exposure to manufacturers, R&D teams, packaging vendors, testing labs or regulatory/claims work.

• Launch SKUs have clean claims, specs, usage logic and test trackers.
• Product documentation is organized and decision-ready.
• Vendor/R&D follow-up system is running smoothly.
• Future SKU roadmap is built.
• Brand and content teams have clear product truths to communicate.
• Customer feedback and V2 improvement loop is ready before launch.
