Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Product Engineer with experience in HVAC product engineering and product development. The candidate will support New Product Development (NPD), Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE), New Technology Projects (NTP), and Quality & Reliability initiatives for Unitary HVAC platforms, primarily focusing on Airflow and Structural subsystems.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical engineering knowledge, problem-solving capability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support NPD, VAVE, NTP, and Quality & Reliability projects for HVAC products.
• Work closely with global project owners, engineering teams, manufacturing, quality teams, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
• Contribute to concept development, component selection, system integration, and detailed engineering design activities.
• Perform engineering calculations and support HVAC component selection based on customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved within Quality, Delivery, Project Cost, and Product Cost targets.
• Create and release engineering documentation including:
  
  

CAD models and drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), Specifications,

Design documentation using PLM/PDM systems

• Support DFMEA activities, test plan development, validation testing, and failure analysis.
• Participate in engineering builds, prototype testing, and root cause analysis.
• Support supplier qualification, sourcing activities, and business continuity initiatives.
• Collaborate in concept reviews, critical design reviews, and technical discussions with global teams.
• Coordinate implementation of design changes across cross-functional teams.
• Use analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau for reporting and decision-making.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical paper publications, and patentable innovations.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1 3 years of hands-on experience in Product Design & Development.
• Experience in New Product Development (NPD), VAVE projects, Quality & Reliability engineering, Component selection and system integration
• Basic understanding of Thermodynamics and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC product simulation, testing methodologies, and validation processes.
• Familiarity with airflow components such as fans and motors is an added advantage.
• Experience with engineering quality tools:
  
  

DFMEA, DVPR, 8D, 9 Steps, FRACAS, A3 Problem Solving

• Experience using PLM/PDM tools for engineering documentation.
• Ability to work with suppliers for component development and specifications.
• Basic programming knowledge is an added advantage.
  
  

Preferred Technical Skills

Experience or exposure in any of the following areas is preferred:

Compressor systems, Heat Exchangers, Refrigeration Engineering, HVAC, Airflow Systems

Structural subsystem design, Product Cost Optimization / VAVE
