Product Development Assistant

Hiring – Product Development Assistant (SolidWorks + Manufacturing) | Pune Only

We export hardware products to the UK market and are hiring a Mechanical / Production background fresher (0–2 years) for a product development support role.

This role is for someone who has actually used SolidWorks and understands basic manufacturing processes.

It is not an MBA, coordination, or management role.

Work Scope:

-Creating and modifying 2D/3D part drawings and basic assemblies in SolidWorks

-Understanding how designs translate to manufacturing processes (CNC, VMC, machining, fabrication basics)

-Studying UK market products and extracting detailed technical specifications

-Converting market specs into clear product specifications for manufacturers

Supporting product development by:

-Reviewing how manufacturers produce the product

-Understanding and documenting manufacturing steps, tolerances, and quality checks

-Assisting in preparation of spec sheets, SOPs, and quality checklists

-Learning product development workflow end-to-end under guidance

-You will work as an assistant to the product manager.

Mandatory Requirements:

-Hands-on experience using SolidWorks (academic projects, internships, or practical work)

-Mechanical / Production diploma or degree

-Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, VMC, machining, fabrication)

-Basic English reading & writing (all documentation is in English)

-Comfortable working independently from home with structured guidance

-Must be based in Pune (weekly in-person meetings when required)
