Job Title: Product Designer-New Product Development 

Location: Hybrid (Office Location-Gurgaon) 

Reporting To: Creative Lead- New Product Development 

About Us 

At Nurturing Green (a brand featured in Shark Tank India Season-4), we are building India’s most loved gardening and plant-based lifestyle brand. We are looking for a Product Designer who can help us create and launch new products—from idea to execution. 

Role Overview 

As a Product Designer (in the new product development team), you will work closely with the Creative Lead to conceptualize, design, and develop new product ranges, including packaging, gifting solutions, and catalogue direction. 

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you will be involved in the complete NPD lifecycle—from mood boarding to final product (gold sample). 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conceptualize and design new product ranges (gifting, combos, seasonal launches) based on trends, market research and consumer insights  
• Develop mood boards and design directions (colors, materials, themes) in collaboration with the Creative Lead  
• Design packaging, labels, and product aesthetics, ensuring strong visual appeal and practicality  
• Work across the NPD lifecycle—from concept and sampling to final (gold) product development, coordinating with vendors and internal teams  
• Contribute to catalogue and product listing creatives (images, videos, layouts) to improve customer experience and conversion  
• Create product presentations and B2B brochures for internal and external use  
• Conduct internal training sessions to ensure teams are aligned on new product features, positioning, and usage 
• Conduct trend research and material exploration to continuously improve product offerings 

What We’re Looking For  

Candidates must have worked on physical products or packaging-related projects in their portfolio 

Experience 

• 1–3 years of experience in product design / packaging design / physical product-based roles  
• Candidates with strong freelance or project-based experience can also be considered  
• Experience in home decor / gifting / D2C brands preferred 

Education 

• Institutes like NIFT, Pearl Academy, MIT Institute of Design Pune  
• Also open to: Srishti, UPES, ISDI (based on portfolio strength)  
• Relevant Courses: Accessory Design/Lifestyle & Accessory Design/Product Design/Industrial Design 
• Candidates from Fashion Communication can be considered only if portfolio includes packaging or product work 

Design & Thinking Ability 

• Strong design thinking and concept-building ability  
• Ability to create product ideas and design directions independently  
• Understanding of what appeals to customers (premium vs budget, gifting, trends, etc.)  

Design Sense & Materials 

• Good understanding of colors, materials, and finishes  
• Basic knowledge of materials like ceramic, wood, metal, jute, etc.  
• Ability to translate ideas into practical, manufacturable designs  

Tools & Skills 

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator  
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Canva etc. 
• Familiarity with AI tools (Midjourney, Firefly, etc.) and openness to using them in the design process  

Work Style & Fit 

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hustle culture 
• High ownership mindset — able to work with limited briefs and take initiative  
• Good collaboration skills with vendors and cross-functional teams
