Role Overview

We are looking for a Principal Product Designer to lead design strategy and execution across our core product experience. In this role, you will serve as a design authority — shaping how users interact with our platform at every touchpoint, while influencing the broader product vision in partnership with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

You bring deep expertise across the full design process, lead with a user-first mindset, and know how to translate ambiguous problems into elegant, impactful solutions. You are equally comfortable driving strategic design decisions as you are getting hands-on with execution. You leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to guide your decisions and set a high bar for craft and quality across the team.

Requirements

• Product Startup experience is a must.
• 8+ years of product design experience with a significant portion in the SaaS space and at least 2 years operating at a Lead or principal level.
• Strong experience in AI systems - needs to contribute to designing AI flows - knowledge of how humans interact with AI.
• Mastery across the design process— from user research and copywriting to interaction design, visual design, and usability testing.
• A strong, diverse portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, design craft, and measurable impact across complex product challenges.
• Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders— you communicate design decisions with clarity, confidence, and conviction.
• A systems thinker who can zoom out to the big picture while maintaining sharp attention to detail in execution.
• Data fluency — comfortable collecting, interpreting, and acting on both qualitative and quantitative research.
• A collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit — you thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership, and push the work forward.
• Creative problem-solving mindset — not satisfied with the status quo and always exploring ways to raise the bar.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design across discovery, research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing — holding a high bar for quality at every stage.
• Define and drive design strategy by setting design requirements grounded in user research, business goals, and market insights.
• Shape the product vision by identifying high-impact improvement opportunities and evaluating how new features and flows satisfy evolving user needs and market demands.
• Influence without authority — present compelling design concepts to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, gaining alignment and buy-in across the organization.
• Establish and evolve design standards by coordinating with fellow designers to ensure consistency, coherence, and scalability across the product.
• Partner deeply with engineering to provide hands-on guidance during implementation and ensure design intent is preserved through delivery.
• Stay ahead of the curve by actively tracking industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices — and championing their adoption where relevant.
• Champion the user by uncovering needs beyond the obvious and advocating for user-centered decision-making across teams.
