Role Description The Principal Cum Professor is a full-time, on-site academic leadership role based in Bhubaneswar. The role involves overseeing academic programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and providing strategic direction for the college’s growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising faculty, coordinating curricula and examination processes, monitoring teaching quality, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Principal Cum Professor will mentor faculty and students, facilitate research and professional development activities, and represent the college in interactions with regulatory bodies, affiliating universities, and external stakeholders. The role also includes managing administrative functions related to admissions, discipline, resource allocation, and quality assurance in collaboration with the management.
Qualifications
  • Strong academic background in Nursing (Master’s degree in Nursing required; Ph.D. or equivalent research qualification preferred).
  • Significant teaching experience in a recognized nursing institution, with demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and evaluate nursing curricula.
  • Proven academic leadership and administrative skills, including experience in managing faculty, academic programs, and institutional operations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements for nursing colleges (e.g., university norms, nursing council standards, and quality assurance frameworks).
  • Ability to guide research, promote evidence-based practice, and encourage scholarly activities among faculty and students.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and student-centered approach.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, inclusive education, and professional standards in nursing.
  • Proficiency in basic educational technologies, digital tools for teaching and administration, and documentation/reporting.
  • Prior experience as Principal, Vice-Principal, or senior academic administrator in a nursing or healthcare institution will be an added advantage.
