What You’ll Do

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Teradata core database architectures supporting large‑scale, enterprise workloads.
Drive query performance tuning, workload management, and system reliability, ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
Influence technical strategy by acting as a database subject matter expert, guiding architectural decisions and long‑term platform evolution.
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance data solutions.
Define what success looks like by consistently delivering high‑impact solutions, improving system performance, and enabling innovation across teams.

Who You’ll Work With

A high‑performing, collaborative team of database and analytics professionals based in Hyderabad and across global locations.
Cross‑functional partners in engineering, analytics, infrastructure, and product teams, contributing to both regional and global initiatives.
The role works closely with senior technical leaders and reports into the database and platform engineering organization.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

10+ years of experience in database engineering, database architecture, or enterprise data platforms.
Deep expertise in database internals, SQL optimization, and workload management.
Advanced experience with query optimizer behavior and performance tuning in large‑scale environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

What You’ll Bring

Experience implementing best practices for data governance, integrity, and database security, including compliance with Indian and global standards.
Ability to mentor and influence peers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
A proactive mindset for identifying performance risks and driving optimization initiatives.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to bridge global teams, enabling alignment and knowledge sharing across geographies.
