Portfolio Manager & Options Trader – US Markets

Location: Kolkata

Compensation: ₹15–20L CTC, with flexibility for exceptional candidates

Timing: US market hours (Necessary condition, pre work before US market open is also needed)

We are building a small, rigorous proprietary trading and portfolio management team focused on US equities, options, volatility instruments, and risk-controlled strategies.

We are looking for an exceptionally sharp and disciplined individual who can execute options trades under defined rules, monitor positions in real time, and help manage a conservative portfolio aided by quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute approved options and equity trades during US market hours
• Monitor live positions, risk limits, margin, stop-losses, and exit triggers
• Work with quant/research inputs to identify suitable trading opportunities
• Prepare payoff analysis, breakeven calculations, scenario analysis, and trade logs
• Track market events, volatility, liquidity, earnings, macro data, and sector movements
• Assist in managing a conservative portfolio with a focus on capital preservation, liquidity, and controlled risk
• Maintain daily trading records, post-trade reviews, and performance attribution
• Escalate risks, execution errors, abnormal market behaviour, or rule breaches immediately
• Follow strict trading checklists, risk limits, and approval protocols

Ideal Candidate

• Exceptional academic record in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, commerce, computer science, or a related analytical field
• Brilliant Academic record throughout, (10th, 12th, Graduation) - Not less than 85%, can be in any field.
• Strong numerical ability and comfort with probability, risk-reward, and data interpretation
• Understanding of options, derivatives, equity markets, and volatility
• Strong Excel skills; Python or statistical analysis experience is a plus
• Calm under pressure and able to make precise decisions during fast markets
• Highly disciplined, detail-oriented, and comfortable following rule-based trading systems
• Comfortable working late evening / US market hours from Kolkata
• Freshers or candidates with 1–3 years of experience may apply, provided they demonstrate exceptional ability
