Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer (PL/SQL) with strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming and solid database design principles. The ideal candidate will design high-performance database structures, optimize queries, and support enterprise-scale applications. Experience with Azure cloud data services is a plus. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile/SCRUM environment to develop, enhance, and maintain database components that support critical business operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts.
• Design efficient and scalable database schemas and structures.
• Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models in collaboration with data modelers.
• Perform SQL tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Document low-level designs (LLD), unit test plans, and unit test cases.
• Support integration testing and ensure database compatibility with application modules.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and performance guidelines.
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and collaborate with onsite and offshore teams.
• Support OIS clearance documentation and required compliance artifacts.
• Manage deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies effectively.
  
  

Primary Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming.
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Strong understanding of database design and normalization principles.
• Expertise in performance tuning and indexing strategies.
• Experience with relational database platforms (Oracle preferred).
• Experience handling large data volumes and bulk data processing.
• Experience in unit testing and debugging database components.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
