Plant Head – Steel Fabrication

Location: MGCPL – Ambala Plant

Experience: 10–15+ Years

Job description: We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to lead operations at our Ambala plant. The leadership role for professionals with strong exposure to Power Plant Steel Structures and large-scale fabrication operations.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage end-to-end fabrication plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are achieved.
2. Oversee production planning and scheduling, including material requirement analysis and coordination with procurement.
3. Ensure availability of drawings, materials, manpower, and equipment for uninterrupted workflow.
4. Maintain strict compliance with approved specifications, fabrication codes, and QA/QC procedures.
5. Implement effective safety practices, inspection systems, and cost-control measures.
6. Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performance team.
7. Introduce innovative techniques to reduce lead time and enhance quality.
8. Brief regular material reconciliation, monthly progress and performance reports to company management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree (B. Tech) in Mechanical / Production / Civil Engineering.
2. 10–15+ years in steel fabrication, preferably in power plants / heavy infrastructure.
3. Experience in a manufacturing/fabrication, worked in RDSO approved workshop.
4. Strong knowledge of fabrication codes, standards, and QA/QC practices.
5. Sound understanding of fabrication techniques, including SMAW/GMAW/SAW welding, and GAS cutting.
6. Exceptional project management and data analytical skills.
7. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
