Ecommerce Accountant

Location: Andheri West, Mumbai (On-site)

This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai for an Ecommerce Accountant. The Ecommerce Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions and accounts for the brand's e-commerce operations. Daily tasks include processing invoices, reconciling payments, overseeing online sales revenue, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role will also involve coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimize financial practices that align with e-commerce business objectives.

E-commerce & Marketplace Accounting:

• Handle accounting for platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.
• Reconcile marketplace settlements, commissions, and fees
• Track sales, returns, refunds, and chargebacks
• Ensure proper recording of payment gateway transactions
• Manage inventory accounting related to online sales

Qualifications

• Experience with financial accounting, bookkeeping, and accounts reconciliation
• Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and financial integration tools
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance, and reporting
• Analytical skills with a focus on financial data interpretation and reporting
• Familiarity with accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Comfort with on-site work in Mumbai and collaborating across departments
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; prior experience in e-commerce accounting is advantageous
