Petroleum Engineer (Software Support & Development)

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Petroleum Engineer with 2–4 years of experience and a strong understanding of software applications in the oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will work closely with our software development team to test, troubleshoot, and enhance our proprietary solutions. This role involves customer support, identifying software bugs, and collaborating with developers to implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run and test Kemiserve’s software solutions (EOR screening, well stimulation, hydraulic fracturing).
• Identify, document, and communicate software bugs and issues to the development team.
• Collaborate with software engineers (Java developers) to assist in resolving technical issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers using the software.
• Suggest software improvements based on field experience and user feedback.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and trends in petroleum engineering and upstream software applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations or petroleum engineering.
• Hands-on experience using software for EOR, well stimulation, or hydraulic fracturing.
• Strong understanding of petroleum engineering principles and well performance optimization.
• Good experience with Java programming is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to support customers remotely.
• Self-motivated and capable of working from home efficiently.
