Actively Reviewing
OakNorth
Job Description
About Us
At OakNorth, we're on a mission to empower ambitious businesses and the communities they serve. Since 2015, we've lent over $21 billion across the UK and US, helped create more than 58,000 new homes and 36,000 new jobs, and supported hundreds of thousands of personal savers — all while driving economic growth in the markets we serve.
About The Team
Our People team works across India, the UK and the US to deliver a consistently excellent employee experience at every stage of the lifecycle. We're a collaborative, service-oriented function that takes pride in getting the details right — from contracts and onboarding to data integrity and continuous improvement. This role sits within People Operations and works closely with our UK-based People Ops Specialist to support employees across two geographies.
About The Role
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional to join our People team in Gurgaon on an 8-month fixed-term contract, covering a maternity backfill. You will take ownership of People Operations for our UK and US employees — ensuring smooth, accurate and timely HR processes while delivering a consistently positive employee experience. You will be a key point of contact for UK and US employees, working in close partnership with Ghena, our UK-based People Ops Specialist, who leads on-the-ground and virtual onboarding. Please note: this role requires regular overlap with UK and US time zones, with availability up to 10–11 PM IST on most working days.
