Description

Basic Function

Responsible for supervising site staff, selecting student participants, facilitating the youth program

activities, maintaining effective communication and coordination between the worksite and program

participants, maintaining student files, and performing program-related assignments as needed by the

Program Manager. This is a summer-only position (mid-May through mid-August), 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Manager with development and implementation of all aspects of the ETSS

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).

  • Establish rapport with worksite management to ensure program time schedule and maintenance

requirements are being met.

  • Supervise all day-to-day operations of assigned program site, including organization, maintenance,

cleaning, safety, and security.

  • Create and maintain participant files, progress reports, timesheets, assessments, evaluations, and

Other Necessary Participant Documents Per Program Requirements.

  • Establish and maintain relationship and communication with youth, parents and staff regarding

participant progress.

  • Meet and communicate with Program Manager regarding program and site updates.
  • Assist in facilitating partnerships with employers to provide quality work-based experiences for

participants.

  • Supervise, manage, and evaluate program participants.
  • Perform tasks pertinent to achieving goals and objectives required by Youth Program grant, or as

deemed necessary by Program Manager.

  • Must have reliable personal transportation to travel to and from assigned program sites and related

work locations.

Education

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related area, and/or some college and equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience

Teaching, computer, and previous experience working with youth in educational programs. Management

experience and experience working with diverse populations
