Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Forecast two-wheeler parts and order parts to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockoutsand overstock.
- Monitor and manage current parts inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment.
- Procurement and Dealer Networks:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and suppliers to procure high-quality two-wheelerparts efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Works Manager to proactively plan parts procurement, aligning with production schedules and repair demands.
- Pricing and Profitability:
- Price parts competitively to maintain profitability while meeting market expectations.
- Analyze market trends to optimize pricing strategies for two-wheeler components.
- Parts Handling and Customer Support:
- Receive, label, and organize parts into inventory, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct two-wheeler parts, ensuring high satisfaction.
- Special Orders and Repairs:
- Oversee special orders for non-standard or high-demand parts, ensuring timely fulfillment.
- Collaborate with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs, minimizing downtime.
- Team Leadership:
- Hire, train, and supervise three junior-level executives in the parts department, fostering a proactiveand efficient team.
- Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide mentorship to enhance team productivity and skill development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience Technical Skills:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in parts management, inventory control, or supply chain roles, preferably in the automotive or two-wheeler industry.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong dealer connections for two-wheeler parts procurement.
- Experience managing small teams, ideally supervising junior-level staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar ERP systems) and Google Suite.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage dealer relationships and customer interactions.
- Ability to perform under pressure, adapt to fluctuating parts demands, and make quick decisions.
- Collaborative leadership to align with Works Manager and service teams for seamless operations.
