Packaging Development Specialist

At Intas Pharmaceuticals, we are looking for a dynamic professional to join our Packaging Development (R&D) team and drive innovative packaging solutions across global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Development:

• Development of packaging solutions for regulated markets to support commercial product launches.

Artwork & Technical Approvals:

• Develop cutter guides and share with Regulatory Affairs (RA) and Supply Chain Management (SCM)
• Review and approve artworks prior to submission
• Conduct wet proof approvals and final artwork sign-offs

Specification Management:

• Prepare and update packaging material specifications
• Manage revisions through Change Request Forms (CRF)

Manufacturing & Commercial Support:

• Provide technical support to manufacturing sites during commercial batches and troubleshooting
• Support machine trials documentation and component readiness

Regulatory & Compliance Support:

• Assist during regulatory audits at R&D and manufacturing locations
• Address regulatory queries for filed products

Quality & Complaint Handling:

• Investigate market complaints related to packaging and implement appropriate CAPA
• Manage Quality Management System (QMS) activities including:
• Change control initiation and review
• PMAWCRF review, action planning, and closure

Vendor Development & Management:

• Approve technical drawings, molds, and vendor specifications
• Drive alternate vendor development for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials

Technology Transfer Support: Provide documentation and technical support for product transfers to CMOs

Optimization Initiatives:

• Lead packaging optimization projects including:
• Pack size rationalization
• Primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging material improvements

Key Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging development requirements
• Understanding of regulated market requirements (US/EU guidelines preferred*)
• Expertise in artwork management and packaging compliance
• Experience in QMS / change control
• 05–12 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging development, Exposure to OSD and/or Injectable packaging development
• Hands-on experience in vendor development and tech transfer
• Cross-functional execution capability
