Position Overview

The Outreach Officer is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that build strong relationships between the organisation and its key stakeholders, including prospective students, community partners, schools, alumni, and the public. This role focuses on increasing awareness, engagement, and participation in programs and initiatives through targeted outreach efforts and strategic partnerships.

The Outreach Officer plays a vital role in strengthening community presence, expanding networks, and enhancing the organization’s visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Relationship Building

• Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at external events, workshops, fairs, and networking activities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for outreach-related inquiries and partnerships.

Recruitment & Program Promotion

• Promote programs, services, and initiatives to target audiences.
• Conduct presentations, information sessions, and campus visits (if applicable).
• Support recruitment efforts through targeted outreach campaigns.

Strategic Outreach Planning

• Develop and implement outreach plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify new opportunities for collaboration and community engagement.
• Maintain a database of outreach contacts and track engagement activities.

Communications & Reporting

• Prepare outreach materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital content.
• Collect and analyze data to assess outreach effectiveness.
• Prepare regular reports on outreach activities, partnerships, and outcomes.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position.
• Frequent local travel may be required.
• Occasional evening or weekend work to attend events and community activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in outreach, recruitment, community engagement, or public relations.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
