OSS Testing and Automation Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a mid-senior & senior-level Telecom Network/OSS Testing Professional with strong experience in Telecom Network/OSS Testing, automation frameworks, API automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration. The role requires hands-on expertise in Java or Python-based automation, Playwright, Selenium, backend testing, and telecom OSS workflows, along with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java or Python, Playwright, and Selenium.
• Perform API Automation Testing using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar platforms.
• Conduct Performance Testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or equivalent tools.
• Execute testing across Functional, Integration, System, and Regression Testing areas.
• Work on Telecom OSS / Network domain testing, including OSS workflows and backend testing.
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and automated test execution using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Manage defects and test tracking through tools such as JIRA and qTest.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments and follow test automation best practices.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 4-15+ years of overall experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering, preferably within Telecom Network / OSS Testing.

Required Skills

• 4-15 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Playwright automation.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Selenium automation framework development and maintenance.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in API Automation Testing using REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Performance Testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or equivalent tools.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Telecom OSS / Operational Support Systems testing.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in JIRA and qTest.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Backend Testing.
• Strong understanding of Telecom / Network domains, including OSS workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TM Forum Open APIs, eTOM, and SID frameworks.
• Knowledge of Telecom OSS/BSS systems and end-to-end service assurance processes.
• Exposure to Network Inventory, Service Fulfillment, Fault Management, and Performance Management platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of telecom/network protocols such as SNMP, TCP/IP, NETCONF, and gRPC.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, or ALM.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Experience working in DevOps environments and implementing automated quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Telecom domain certifications or Automation / Performance Testing certifications.
• Experience working with leading telecom operators, network equipment providers, or OSS product vendors.
