DevOps & QA Engineer

About the role

Stock Bazaar is looking for a DevOps & QA Engineer who's comfortable wearing both hats - building and maintaining our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, and owning the quality of what ships through them. You'll sit at the intersection of delivery and reliability: automating deployments on one side, automating tests on the other, and stitching the two together so quality is enforced automatically on every release.

This is a hands-on role for someone who believes fast delivery and high quality aren't a trade-off, and who wants to own the pipeline end to end.

What You'll Do

DevOps:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
• Manage and provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Containerise applications and manage orchestration for staging and production
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting for system health and uptime
• Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting
• Manage source control workflows, branching strategies, and release processes
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and environment issues across the stack

QA:

• Design, write, and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, integration)
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates before release
• Develop and execute test plans for new features and regression cycles
• Perform API, functional, regression, and performance/load testing
• Run technical testing primarily through automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Set up and manage clean, reproducible (often containerized) test environments
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution with developers
• Champion a shift-left testing culture and improve test coverage continuously

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years combined experience in DevOps and QA/test automation
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
• Cloud: Hands-on with AWS, Azure, or GCP AWS: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53
• Azure: VMs, Blob Storage, VNet, Entra ID, AKS, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, ARM/Bicep, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Containers: Docker (must-have), Kubernetes (familiarity)
• IaC: Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Scripting: Bash and/or Python
• Test automation: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• API testing: Postman, REST Assured, or similar
• Strong Git and branching workflow skills
• Solid understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Performance testing (JMeter, k6, Gatling)
• Mobile test automation (Appium)
• BDD frameworks (Cucumber) + test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr)
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
• DevSecOps / security scanning exposure
