Job Description

We are seeking an Oracle EPM Solutions Consultant with deep expertise in at least one major Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) ecosystem.

EPCM/PCMCS, Hyperion Planning & Essbase (EPBCS/PBCS), or Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS/DRM).

This role focuses on designing, implementing, and modernising enterprise performance management solutions as part of Finance Transformation initiatives. You will lead delivery aligned with digital finance strategies, FP&A, and enterprise performance technologies, working closely with Finance, IT, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and implement Oracle EPM solutions across EPCM / PCMCS, EPBCS / PBCS / Essbase, and EDMCS / DRM, supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and cost management use cases.
Lead the design of allocation models, custom calculations, business rules, and MDX logic, leveraging Groovy scriptingwhere applicable Develop and manage data integration pipelines using Data Management, integrating data from Oracle Fusion GL, ERP systems, and other enterprise sources.
Design data models, metadata structures, workflows, and governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, scalability, and auditability.
Build and customize reports, dashboards, forms, and financial models, including Excel-based analytical models and EPM-native reporting.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and cross-module integration across FCCS, PBCS, EPCM, and other Oracle EPM modules.
Configure and manage user provisioning, roles, and security using Shared Services and Oracle Cloud security constructs.
Implement automation and operational efficiencies using EPM Automate, EPCM Agent, REST APIs, Batch/Shell scripts, and Groovy
Lead or contribute to Enterprise Data Management initiatives, including application registration, node type management, validations, subscriptions, and metadata imports/exports.
Execute migrations from DRM to EDMCS and support on-premises to Oracle Cloud EPM transitions.
Partner with business and finance stakeholders to translate functional and financial requirements into technical EPM architectures and solutions.
Provide end-user training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support on data entry, reporting, and analysis.
Act as senior escalation for complex EPM technical and performance issues, ensuring system stability and quality delivery.
Mentor junior consultants and collaborate with onsite and offshore teams across project lifecycles.
Contribute across all project phases — from requirements gathering and design to deployment and Hyper-care.
Support practice development, including pre-sales activities, solution prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and technical thought leadership.
Present technical insights, solution designs, and recommendations to business and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

Basic Requirements

3–7 years of hands-on experience implementing Oracle EPM solutions.
Deep expertise in at least one ecosystem:
EPCM / PCMCS, or
Hyperion Planning & Essbase (EPBCS / PBCS), or
Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS / DRM)
Proven experience delivering end-to-end EPM Suite implementations.
Strong understanding of data integration, business rules, Groovy scripting, metadata management, and data governance.
Experience integrating EPM platforms with ERP systems, BI tools, and enterprise applications.
Ability to design and support enterprise-scale, multi-module EPM environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work across Finance and IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience across multiple Oracle EPM technologies (e.g., EPCM + Planning, Planning + EDMCS).
Exposure to cloud-based SaaS / PaaS platforms, FP&A processes, cost allocation, and profitability analysis.
Automation experience using EPM Automate, REST APIs, Groovy, and Batch/Shell scripting.
Experience with ODI, EPRCS, or third-party reporting tools.
Knowledge of metadata management across downstream systems.
Experience with on-prem to cloud migrations.
Background in large enterprise or consulting environments.
Relevant Oracle EPM certifications.
