Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Ophthalmic Assistant based in Vellore. The Ophthalmic Assistant will be responsible for assisting ophthalmologists in patient care, including performing diagnostic tests and procedures such as fundus photography, acting as a scribe during patient consultations, and applying their knowledge of medical terminology. The role also involves ensuring patient comfort and maintaining accurate medical records while adhering to established protocols.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding and experience in Optometry and related diagnostic techniques
• Proficiency in performing Fundus Photography for diagnosing eye conditions
• Ability to serve as a Scribe and accurately record detailed patient information
• Familiarity with Medical Terminology and its application in a healthcare setting
• Basic knowledge of Medicine as it relates to ophthalmology
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
• An associate degree, certification, or relevant experience in an ophthalmic or medical field is preferred
• Experience in an ophthalmic clinic or medical environment is an advantage
