Operations Executive
Location: Mumbai (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: INR 25-30k CTC per month
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Executive to manage and optimize day-to-day operations of our marketplace platform. This role involves coordinating across vendors, customers, logistics, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution, high service quality, and scalable processes for both B2C and B2B segments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketplace Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of the marketplace platform (order processing, fulfillment, returns).
- Ensure smooth functioning of both B2C (retail customers) and B2B (bulk/corporate clients) workflows.
- Monitor order lifecycle from placement to delivery and resolve bottlenecks.
2. Vendor & Supplier Management
- Onboard new vendors and maintain relationships with existing partners.
- Ensure vendor compliance with quality, pricing, and service standards.
- Coordinate inventory updates, product listings, and catalog accuracy.
- Track vendor performance (TAT, quality issues, fulfillment rates).
3. B2B Client Operations
- Manage end-to-end execution of B2B orders (bulk orders, custom pricing, contracts).
- Coordinate with sales/account managers for client requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery, invoicing, and post-sale support for corporate clients.
- Handle escalations and maintain client satisfaction.
4. Order Fulfillment & Logistics
- Coordinate with logistics partners for dispatch, delivery, and reverse logistics.
- Optimize shipping processes and reduce delivery timelines.
- Track and resolve issues related to delays, damages, and returns.
- Work on cost optimization for logistics operations.
5. Process Optimization & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement process improvements.
- Develop SOPs for key workflows (order management, vendor onboarding, returns).
- Collaborate with tech/product teams to improve platform features and automation.
6. Data Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor key operational metrics such as:
- Order fulfillment rate
- Delivery timelines
- Return rates
- Vendor performance
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Use data insights to drive operational improvements.
7. Customer Experience & Support
- Ensure high-quality customer experience for both B2C and B2B users.
- Handle escalations and complex queries.
- Work closely with customer support teams to resolve issues quickly.
8. Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with:
- Sales team (B2B deals, client requirements)
- Marketing team (campaign execution, offers)
- Product/Tech team (platform improvements)
- Finance team (billing, payments, reconciliations)
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in operations, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace, or supply chain.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with CRM/ERP/order management tools is a plus
Preferred Experience:
- Experience handling both B2C and B2B operations
- Exposure to vendor management and logistics coordination
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments
