Position Overview

The On-site Vending Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the tool crib at the customer site. This role ensures efficient inventory management, timely supply of tools and materials, and exceptional service to support production and engineering teams. The successful candidate will maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool crib environment while proactively identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate check-in and check-out of inventory, including receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming and outgoing tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Manage current inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and monitor special/controlled inventory to maintain optimal stock availability and prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Replenish vending machines, cabinets, and storage areas to ensure tools and consumables are readily accessible to production personnel.
  • Coordinate and manage all vendor visits, including scheduling, oversight, and follow-up to ensure compliance with site requirements and timely delivery of goods.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to address tooling needs, resolve issues, and facilitate effective communication regarding requirements and specifications.
  • Generate and distribute accurate inventory, usage, and performance reports as required.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings scheduled by the customer to align on priorities, report on metrics, and address any operational concerns.
  • Build strong working relationships with all customer employees to understand their needs, provide responsive support, and consistently exceed expectations for service and availability.
  • Utilize provided inventory management software to process daily orders, track transactions, and ensure timely replenishment and procurement activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool crib area in compliance with company and customer safety standards.
  • Partner with the assigned Account Engineer to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as optimizing inventory levels, reducing waste, and recommending alternative solutions.

Work Hours: 7AM-4PM

Hourly Pay: $22.00

Work Site: Hopkinsville, KY
