What You'll Do
Industry Focus: Banking & Insurance (FI)

As part of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice at BCG Platinion, you will support architecture consulting engagements for Banking and Insurance clients. You’ll help define target-state architectures, drive digital modernization, and address key technology challenges including core transformation, cloud adoption, data enablement, and API-led innovation.

You’ll work closely with client CXOs, business leaders, and technology teams to translate strategy into actionable technology roadmaps and ensure architecture decisions create measurable business value. This role offers exposure to end-to-end transformation initiatives across financial services, including retail and corporate banking, insurance, payments, and wealth management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver enterprise architecture engagements for banking, NBFC, and insurance clients.
Define target architecture blueprints across applications, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, and security layers.
Assess current-state architectures and design modernization roadmaps aligned with digital transformation goals.
Develop conceptual and solution architectures for core banking, PAS/LOS/LMS, and insurance platforms.
Evaluate build vs. buy vs. reuse options and develop implementation strategies accordingly.

Recommend best practices in DevSecOps, Agile delivery, and platform engineering.
Drive technology governance, vendor selection, and implementation oversight.
Provide advisory on emerging financial technologies such as open banking, digital lending, API ecosystems, and cloud-native core modernization.
Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure architecture alignment with client’s business objectives.
Present recommendations and architecture roadmaps to senior stakeholders and executive forums.

Skills & Experience Required

B.Tech / M.Tech in Engineering from a top-tier institute; an MBA will be an added advantage.
TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications are highly desirable.
10+years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, or digital transformation within the Banking or Insurance domains.
Strong understanding of BFSI business processes, including core banking, digital channels, payments, lending, and insurance systems.
Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with architecture design across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), data, and integration technologies.
Familiarity with modern technology trends such as microservices, containerization, and API-led architecture.
Experience with DevSecOps, Agile delivery models, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Exposure to digital transformation programs across banking, NBFC, or insurance organizations.
Excellent communication and client engagement skills, with the ability to simplify complex technology topics.
Proven track record in stakeholder management and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong analytical mindset, business acumen, and passion for technology-led innovation.

Industry Focus: Cross Industry (Non-FI)

As an Enterprise Architect at BCG Platinion, you will help organizations architect and deliver next-generation technology foundations that support business growth and transformation. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy and technology—defining architecture roadmaps, leading design and delivery, and guiding clients through modernization, cloud adoption, data enablement, and emerging tech integration. This role is cross-industry, offering opportunities to work across sectors such as consumer, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, telecom, and public sector—helping clients navigate complex enterprise landscapes and realize business value through technology.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Strategy & Design

Define target enterprise architecture across enterprise systems- digital, data, AI, application, cloud, and integration layers.
Align technology strategy with business priorities and transformation goals.
Create architecture blueprints, principles, and reference models tailored to client needs.
Evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability to business use cases.

Delivery & Transformation

Lead architecture assessments, define modernization roadmaps, and oversee implementation governance.
Guide design and delivery of complex enterprise systems leveraging cloud-native, microservices, and API-first patterns.
Ensure architecture compliance and quality assurance through technical reviews and best practices.
Drive adoption of agile, DevSecOps, and platform engineering practices.

Evaluate technology options to support target architecture, onboard and oversee end to end build.

Advisory & Leadership

Act as a trusted advisor to senior IT and business leaders.
Provide thought leadership on digital platforms, data ecosystems, and technology strategy.
Contribute to BCG Platinion’s knowledge base, frameworks, and capability development.
Coach and mentor team members and client architects to build sustainable capabilities.

What You Bring

Professional Experience

10+ years of experience in technology architecture, solution design, or enterprise technology consulting.
Proven experience in defining and implementing enterprise-scale architecture solutions across industries such as industrial goods, consumer goods, transportation, logistics, manufacturing.
Proven experience in deploying one or more enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, SCM platforms, Manufacturing and IT.
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
Strong understanding of integration patterns (APIs, ESB, event-driven), data architecture, and security design.
Experience in digital transformation initiatives, technology roadmaps, or modernization programs.
Experience working with system integrators or in house teams to drive end-to-end implementation.

Technical Expertise

Knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent).
Familiarity with core enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, SCM) and modern stacks (microservices, containerization, serverless).
Experience in working on the client-side delivery collaborating across tech and functional teams.
Understanding of data and analytics platforms, AI/ML enablement, and API-led connectivity.
Hands-on experience or strong collaboration exposure in cloud migration, DevSecOps, and platform engineering.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary, cross-geography teams.
Comfort in engaging C-level stakeholders and translating complex concepts into business value.
