Role Description The Nurse Manager – Elder Facilities is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role oversees nursing operations within elder care facilities, including staffing, scheduling, and daily supervision of nursing and support teams. The Nurse Manager coordinates patient care plans, ensures adherence to clinical protocols, and monitors quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, guiding critical care interventions when needed, supporting medication management, and promoting best practices in geriatric nursing. The role also involves training and mentoring staff, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, engaging with families, and maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Nursing and Patient Care skills, especially in geriatric or elder care settings.
  • Candidates should possess Nursing Management skills, including team leadership, supervision, and coordination of clinical workflows.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine relevant to managing complex health needs of elderly patients.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Registered Nurse qualification with appropriate licensing; advanced training or certification in geriatric nursing or critical care is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in elder care facilities or hospital-based geriatric units, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent or emergency situations.
