Job Title: NPD Manager – Skincare

Role summary

Own end-to-end skincare product development from concept to launch—driving formulation, packaging, claims, costing, timelines, and cross-functional execution with internal teams and 3P manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead NPD pipeline: identify opportunities, build briefs, define hero claims/USP, and execute launch plans.
2. Manage formulation development with 3P labs/OEMs: concept prototypes → stability → finalization.
3. Drive packaging development: component selection, compatibility testing, artwork readiness, vendor coordination.
4. Own product quality + performance: sensorial targets, efficacy/claims substantiation inputs, safety, and QA handover.
5. Build and control timelines using stage-gates; manage risks, iterations, and stakeholder alignment.
6. Own product costing (COGS/BOM): target pricing, value engineering, MOQ planning, and margin guardrails.
7. Coordinate regulatory readiness for India (labeling/claims compliance, documentation with RA/QA partners).
8. Benchmark competition and trends (textures, actives, formats) and translate into actionable specs.

Requirements

1. 4–8 years in skincare NPD (brand side or OEM/ODM), with multiple launches shipped.
2. Strong formulation + packaging understanding (emulsions/gels/serums; compatibility and stability basics).
3. Experience working with Indian/China/SEA vendors a plus; strong project management and negotiation.
4. Comfort with data: BOM, COGS, MOQ, margin targets, and launch scorecards.
5. High ownership, fast execution, and strong cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

1. Exposure to dermocosmetic claims, sunscreen/active-heavy formulas, and sensory-led product design.
2. Hands-on experience with stability protocols and packaging compatibility test planning.
