Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer responsible for building scalable server-side applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing backend services, working with databases, and developing high-performance REST APIs.

The role requires strong knowledge of server-side architecture, API development, database management, and backend performance optimization using technologies like Node.js and Express.js.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

· Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js

· Build and maintain REST API for web and mobile applications

· Implement secure authentication and authorization systems

· Write reusable, clean, and maintainable backend code

Database Management

· Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

· Design efficient database schemas and queries

· Optimize database performance and indexing strategies

Architecture & Performance

· Ensure clean architecture and modular backend design

· Optimize application performance and server efficiency

· Implement proper error handling, logging, and debugging practices

· Maintain well-documented backend modules and services

Real-Time & Integration

· Implement real-time features using Socket.IO or WebSockets

· Integrate third-party APIs and external services

· Collaborate with frontend and mobile development teams for API integration

Technical RequirementsCore Skills

· Strong experience with Node.js

· Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks

· Expertise in REST API design and development

· Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture

Development Tools

· Version control using Git

· Basic understanding of Docker or containerized environments

· Experience with debugging and logging tools

Preferred Skills

· Experience building microservice architectures

· Knowledge of message queues such as Redis, Apache Kafka, or RabbitMQ

· Familiarity with cloud environments like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure

· Knowledge of backend security practices such as rate limiting and API protection
