Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and curious Linux Infrastructure / Network Engineer with 2–3+ years of experience in networking, infrastructure, or Linux administration. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in system and network management, along with a keen interest in learning and working on emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN network infrastructure
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Perform network capacity planning and optimization
- Maintain documentation for network configurations and processes
- Support and troubleshoot networking in virtualized environments
- Manage and maintain Linux-based systems and server environments
- Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and reliability
- Implement security best practices, patches, and user access controls
- Assist in managing GPU-enabled servers for HPC and AI/ML workloads
- Optimize system performance for GPU-intensive applications
- Provide L1-level support and basic troubleshooting
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ to 3+ years of experience in networking, infrastructure, or Linux administration
- Strong understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, VPN, IPSec, ZTNA
- Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora)
- Knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall configurations
- Understanding of virtualization and virtual networking environments
- Familiarity with system monitoring and performance tuning
- Basic understanding of container technologies (Docker, Podman, LXC)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or similar) is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (KVM, VMware, Xen, Proxmox, OpenStack, OpenNebula)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.)
- Exposure to networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, Check Point)
- Basic understanding of GPU/HPC environments (NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, cuDNN)
- Experience with GPU monitoring tools (nvidia-smi, DCGM, NVTOP, Prometheus exporters)
