Position: Network Application Support Engineer

Location: Mumbai - Vikhroli

Experience: 2 - 4 years

Job Summary

We are looking for a Network Application Support Engineer to monitor the Network Monitoring System (NMS) from the NOC and troubleshoot application, database, and Linux-related issues. The role involves identifying root causes, analyzing MySQL queries and stored procedures, writing Python/Shell scripts, and coordinating with Development, Database, Networking, and client teams for timely issue resolution.

Required Skills

    • 2–4 years of experience in Application/NMS Support.
    • Hands-on experience with Linux and Linux CLI.
    • Strong knowledge of MySQL, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and database troubleshooting.
    • Experience in Python or Shell scripting.
    • Good understanding of IP networking and technologies such as MPLS, CEN, and FTTH.
    • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, SSH, and Networking concepts.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and client-handling skills.
Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor the Network Monitoring System (NMS) from the NOC and proactively identify issues.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot application, database, and Linux-related issues to determine the root cause.
    • Work on MySQL queries, stored procedures, and database logic to resolve incidents.
    • Develop or modify Python/Shell scripts for automation and operational support.
    • Analyze Linux logs and application performance.
    • Coordinate with Development, Database, and Networking teams for issue resolution.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for Client support queries, provide regular updates, ensure timely resolution, and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Understand client network environments and support issues related to IP Layer, MPLS, CEN, and FTTH domains.
    • Maintain incident reports, RCA documentation, and ensure SLA compliance.
Preferred

    • Experience with NMS/EMS/OSS platforms.
    • Basic knowledge of Cisco/Juniper CLI.
    • CCNA or equivalent networking certification is an added advantage.
Education & Experience

    • First class in B.E/B.Tech-CS/IT OR M.Sc-IT/MCA
    • Telecom domain experience is a plus
