Job Description:

• Plan and conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on Mild Steel (MS) pipes, including methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), etc.
• Review and interpret radiography films, UT results, and other NDT reports to evaluate weld and material integrity.
• Prepare and maintain NDT documentation, inspection reports, and ensure traceability of records.
• Coordinate with fabrication and welding teams to schedule inspections and explain identified defects or corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant NDT codes, standards, and client specifications during testing and evaluation.
• Support third-party inspections and client audits by presenting NDT reports and explaining procedures followed.
• Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment and tools as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Train and guide site teams and welders on NDT requirements, acceptance criteria, and common quality issues.
  
  

Experience

• Prior experience in NDT testing of MS pipes or similar welded steel structures, preferably in fabrication or pipeline projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Mechanical.
  
  

Valid NDT Level II certification in relevant methods (UT, MPT, DPT, RT)
