Project Management

Role Overview

The Senior Manager – PMO & IT Financial Management is a leadership role responsible for governing enterprise project delivery and overseeing IT financial management across the IT Service Management lifecycle. This role ensures standardized project execution, strong financial controls, budget optimization, and transparent reporting while enabling business-aligned, high-quality IT delivery.

Key Responsibilities

PMO & Project Governance

  • Lead and govern the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring consistent application of project lifecycle processes, standards, and templates
  • Oversee delivery of large and complex programs and portfolios using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Ensure project compliance with defined governance, quality, risk, and reporting standards
  • Drive continuous improvement of PMO frameworks, tools, and delivery practices
  • Provide executive-level visibility into project health, risks, dependencies, and outcomes

IT Financial Management

  • Own IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across services, projects, and programs
  • Track financial performance, spend, and benefits realization across the portfolio
  • Drive cost optimization, value realization, and financial transparency across IT services
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for leadership and stakeholders
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Delivery teams to align financial outcomes with business priorities

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on delivery performance and financial health
  • Lead and mentor PMO, project, and financial management teams
  • Manage vendor and supplier financial performance and delivery governance
  • Enable strong collaboration across IT, business, and external partners

  • Portfolio delivery success (on-time, on-budget, quality outcomes)
  • Budget accuracy and forecast variance
  • Financial transparency and reporting timeliness
  • Cost optimization and value realization
  • PMO process adoption and compliance
  • Stakeholder satisfaction

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12–18 years of experience in PMO leadership, IT delivery, and financial management
  • Proven experience managing large IT portfolios and complex transformation programs
  • Strong expertise in project governance, financial planning, and performance management
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery models
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and executive communication skills
  • Experience working in multi-vendor and enterprise IT environments

Tools & Frameworks (Preferred)

  • PMO and portfolio tools (e.g., Clarity, Azure DevOps, Plutora, or similar)
  • ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Strong proficiency in financial and reporting tools (Excel, dashboards, analytics)
  • ITIL, PMO, and governance frameworks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Finance, or Business
  • PMP / PRINCE2 / SAFe / Agile certification (preferred)
  • ITIL certification (preferred)
  • MBA or advanced management qualification (nice to have)
