Position: Mobile Device Management & DLP Engineer
Location: New Delhi/Gurugram
Work Mode: Onsite
Experience: 4–6 years
Salary Range: ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 per month (fixed CTC band, negotiable based on skills and track record)
Role overview
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programs to secure corporate data across laptops, mobile devices, cloud applications, and endpoints. The role will interface closely with IT, Security, and HR teams to enforce security policies and enable a secure, productive hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Workspace ONE, or similar) for laptops and mobile devices across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
- Configure and maintain DLP policies (endpoint, network, email, and cloud‑based DLP) to detect, block, and report data exfiltration attempts.
- Define and enforce security baselines, device compliance policies, encryption standards, and conditional access rules in alignment with organizational security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and IAM teams to integrate MDM/DLP with Azure AD, Entra ID, SSO, IDaaS, and cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS/Azure).
- Troubleshoot and resolve MDM/DLP‑related incidents, device enrollment issues, policy violations, and false positives.
- Conduct regular audits and reports on MDM/DLP effectiveness, policy coverage, and compliance posture.
- Support security incidents and breach investigations involving endpoints, mobile devices, and data‑handling misuse.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and playbooks for MDM and DLP operations.
- Coordinate with HR and Admin to ensure clean device provisioning and on‑boarding/off‑boarding workflows for employees and contractors.
Mandatory skills and experience
- 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in information security, endpoint security, or IT security operations, with at least 3 years specifically on MDM and/or DLP technologies.
- Proven experience with at least one MDM/UEM platform such as:
- Microsoft Intune
- VMware Workspace ONE
- Jamf Pro
- SOTI MobiControl
- Cisco Meraki Systems Manager
- Proven experience with at least one DLP product such as:
- Symantec/Magic DLP
- Forcepoint DLP
- McAfee DLP
- Solid understanding of:
- Endpoint security (patching, AV/EDR, disk encryption)
- Identity and access management (Azure AD/Entra ID, conditional access)
- Cloud security (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SaaS‑based DLP)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to triage security‑related alerts and incidents.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, Data Protection Acts, or similar) is a plus.
Preferred qualifications
- Certification such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Intune / Microsoft 365 Security
- ISC2 CISSP / CCSP / CISM (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting hybrid/remote workforce and BYOD‑style environments.
- Practical exposure to scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, shell scripts) for device‑management tasks.
Soft skills and expectations
- Strong communication skills to explain technical risks and controls to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup while coordinating closely with on‑site teams.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on improving security posture, reducing data‑loss risk, and enhancing user experience.
