About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Okta SME to join our growing Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Okta Identity Cloud, including hands-on experience in architecture, implementation, integration, and support of Okta-based solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Okta solutions across projects.
• Design, configure, and implement Okta Identity Cloud features including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory, and API access management.
• Integrate Okta with various applications (cloud and on-prem) using SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and other protocols.
• Work closely with client stakeholders, engineering teams, and security leads to define access control strategies and identity workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to authentication, authorization, and provisioning.
• Conduct health checks, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of Okta environments.
• Develop documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and runbooks.
• Stay current with industry trends and Okta product developments to continuously improve solutions.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of overall experience in IAM with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and API security.
• Experience with Okta Workflows, custom scripting, and identity automation.
• Familiarity with integrating Okta with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Workspace, Office 365).
• Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, GDPR).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Okta certifications (such as Okta Certified Professional or Okta Certified Consultant) are a strong advantage.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with adjacent IAM tools like SailPoint, Saviynt, or CyberArk.
• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) for automation and customization.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native IAM practices.
