Skills

Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using the FastAPI framework
Solid understanding of system architecture and scalable backend design
Experience in database design, optimization and data migrations
Strong working experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
Hands-on experience with search engines such as Apache Solr/Elasticsearch/OpenSearch etc.
Understanding of vector databases and embedding-based data storage mechanism
Good understanding of API design using REST, GraphQL etc.
Knowledge of caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis or similar)
Familiarity with ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline design
Understanding of security best practices, including authentication, authorization and data isolation
Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Strong problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end system architecture
Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, frameworks etc
Understand business and product requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Build scalable architecture
Familiarity with multi-tenant architecture and SaaS model
Develop backend services, APIs and data workflow and indexing pipelines
Ensure system performance, reliability, and low-latency search responses

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend development or system architecture.
Proven experience delivering production grade systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and deliver work on time
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
