The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious M&A Transaction Manager to join a high-performing Deal Delivery team. You’ll take ownership of discrete workstreams on mid-market M&A and funding transactions with light supervision, acting as day-to-day client lead from preparation through to completion.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role requiring strong technical capability, organisational discipline, and commercial judgement. You’ll operate within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where excellence, professionalism, and teamwork are the foundation for success.

Deal Delivery

  • Manage discrete transaction workstreams such as IM drafting, financial modelling, buyer/investor engagement, data room build and diligence coordination.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables that exceed client expectations and uphold brand standards.
  • Maintain project momentum, anticipate blockers and coordinate actions across all stakeholders including clients, legal and tax advisers.
  • Execute structured outreach to buyers, investors, and lenders with controlled professionalism and accuracy.
  • Support valuation and negotiation processes through robust financial analysis and strategic options papers.

Client & Risk

  • Act as day-to-day client point of contact, setting agendas and managing expectations.
  • Enforce firm-wide quality standards and data accuracy across outputs.
  • Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and clear audit trails.
  • Identify emerging risks, recommend mitigations, and communicate clearly with senior team members.

People & Improvement

  • Lead and coach Assistant Managers and Executives, delegating effectively and developing junior talent.
  • Drive continuous improvement through updated templates, process insights, and data discipline.
  • Support brand-building activity via networking, events, and post-deal marketing.

Essential

  • 4+ years’ experience in corporate finance or M&A advisory (excluding transaction services).
  • Exposure to mid-market transactions (£5m–£100m EV).
  • Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent.
  • Proven track record managing discrete elements of transactions under light supervision.
  • Strong technical skills in analysis, modelling, and valuation.
  • Excellent client communication, document drafting, and presentation ability.
  • Experience delegating and supervising junior staff.
  • Project management capability and ability to manage multiple streams simultaneously.
  • Commercial acumen and sound risk awareness.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and fluent with Microsoft Office and modern collaboration tools (including AI-based platforms).
  • Strong ethical standards and understanding of confidentiality.

Desirable

  • Experience across buy-side and sell-side mandates.
  • Familiarity with due diligence and data room management.
  • Coaching or mentoring experience.
  • Established network within the corporate finance market.
  • CRM and workflow management proficiency.
  • Experience in business development or thought leadership.

Rewards & Benefits

  • Competitive salary (approx. £64,000)
  • Bonus participation schemes (performance and profit-share)
  • Equity Incentive via EMI scheme
  • Private Health Cover, Income Protection & Death in Service
  • Workplace Pension scheme
