Merchandiser

Role Overview

We are seeking a Merchandiser to join our Production & Sourcing Division. This role is crucial in managing buyer communications, order execution, material sourcing, and ensuring production aligns with client requirements. The Merchandiser will serve as the key link between our international clients, internal production teams, and external suppliers, ensuring that every order is executed on time, at the right quality, and within cost parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day communication with buyers regarding product specifications, approvals, and timelines.
• Coordinate with design, sampling, sourcing, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow from order receipt to shipment.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships (local and international suppliers).
• Prepare Time and Action (T&A) calendars and track order progress.
• Ensure quality standards (EU/US buyer requirements, compliance norms) are met at every stage.
• Negotiate with suppliers for fabrics, trims, and accessories to optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Monitor sample development and approvals.
• Handle documentation related to purchase orders, invoicing, and logistics.
• Support sustainability initiatives, ensuring eco-friendly and ethical sourcing where applicable.
• Prepare reports for management on order status, risks, and corrective actions.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Merchandiser in garments/apparel manufacturing (export experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, production processes, and supply chain.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (English mandatory; European language skills are a plus).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/CRM tools (Zoho, WFX, or similar).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
