Job Location: Tirupur, India

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and commercially minded Merchandiser – Sourcing to join our team at NEXT SOURCING Services (India) Private Limited. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and on boarding new supplier partners to support our sourcing and business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously identify and evaluate new supplier opportunities based on capability, production capacity, compliance standards, product suitability, and strategic location.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with potential suppliers, conduct initial factory evaluations, and introduce the NEXT SOURCING (NS) profile.
• Lead weekly supplier sourcing meetings, presenting shortlisted supplier candidates to Merchandising, Technical, and Compliance teams for review, feedback, and decision-making.
• Plan and conduct factory visits to perform due diligence, assess compliance standards, review product portfolios, understand brand experience, and identify key senior management contacts.
• Monitor and follow up on all actions arising from sourcing meetings to ensure timely completion and progress.
• Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive supplier database, tracking potential, approved, rejected, and on boarded suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier on boarding activities, including the submission of required documentation to the NSS system and liaising with Compliance teams to facilitate final audits and approvals.
• Support the successful integration of new suppliers into the business through effective stakeholder coordination and process management.

Requirements

• Degree or professional qualification in Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• Experience in merchandising, sourcing, supplier management, or a similar role within the apparel industry.
• Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, factory compliance, and sourcing processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to conduct factory visits and independently manage supplier assessments.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
